1. Program Description

David’s Legacy is a family-led annual giving initiative created in memory of David Robert Oakes (July 19, 1987 – Nov 27, 2018).

Each year, friends, family, and supporters come together to raise donations and identify individuals or families in need of support. Donations are used to provide meaningful assistance such as medical support, accessibility improvements, food, housing assistance, and relief efforts for people facing hardship.

2. Purpose of the Website

This website is used to:

  • Honour the memory and legacy of David Robert Oakes

  • Collect donations for annual charitable giving initiatives

  • Receive nominations for individuals or families in need

  • Share past and ongoing humanitarian projects carried out in David’s name
